Jim and I are both suffering with cold and flu symptoms so we decided the quickest/easiest way to get to the Vancouver Airport would be to take Harbour Air to Richmond.
We left at 11:45 in a turbo prop otter. It was surprisingly windly in the morning, the waves were choppy and we taxied a long way before getting off the water.
Of course the pilot told us where the exits were, the life preservers also and then we settled (or not) for a bumpy flight across the strait. This was my first time on such a small sea plane and most of the way my prayer was "Oh God, don't let me die in cold water!!!"
Upon debarking, we received our luggage which was slowly retreived from inside the pontoons. (while standing in the wind and rain)
We were able to rush right through the terminal and get on a shuttle that took us to the international area of the airport.
We are on our way....

Mom, I think we will put "God loved her enough not to let her die in cold water" on your final resting place ... I can't imagine a worse fate!
ReplyDeleteNor could I at that moment, already being chilled by my 'bug'.
