Zicatela Beach

Monday
This morning Jim wanted to walk the long stretch of Zicatila Beach. It is farthest to the east that we can see and the beach is perfect for surfers. The waves are best there - but only half the size of early fall when they can be 3 metres high.

We weren't the only one's enjoying the ocean view. 4 nuns were out early and enjoying some time on the beach.

We didn't make it all the way. We stopped and sat on chaises under an umbrella. The older man who was looking after the chairs and tables and chaises quickly came over and dusted them off for us, checked out how we wanted the umbrella placed (full shade for me!!!) and then, in order not to have to 'rent' the chaise we order a drink which covers both.

We luxuriated in this warm and beautiful setting. So utterly relaxing and the sea was fascinating as the waves broke and rushed to their destinations. We stayed there for several hours, ordering a fish meal each for our lunch.

I brought along limeade which I make at home, it is so refreshing and I know the water and container is purified.

Our second destination is Babylon Bar - actually they have a library of books to sell or exchange. We had a couple that Jim had finished so we took them there and now have a new book to read.

With all the staying inside we've done, we've run short of reading material so now we're on the lookout for more novels.
