Required rest

We are still taking life easy for a couple of days, even though Jim is anxious to get going because we've missed so many days of exploring already. He did go for a little walk this morning, just to look for birds and watch the ocean for a bit.

I am not up to par at the moment either. Fever and aching bones. We're both on Tylenol to subdue the fever and it seems to be doing the job.

I think our priority tomorrow will be to find some more books to read - there are several exchange places. We have 4 to take in so that will give us 2 free ones.

Sunsets are great here. Seldom has there been no cloud in the sky and with a bit of cloud we get such a gorgeous variety. The sun starts going down shortly after 6 pm. As it sinks in the west we think it is gone, but then comes the great afterglow - usually more beautiful than the initial setting.

Just a few minutes before 7 pm four things happen in quick succession. When the light is really out of the sky the local lighthouse starts it's bright blinking for the night. The big Catholic church rings the bells in the steeple, and, Curly, Larry and Mo come out on the high walls of the deck... sometimes their other brother Larry arrives too. That, of course, is our personal gecko population. They don't like light on the deck and will quickly hide if it's too bright.. They are really speedy when they move, they also seem to give each other space... Curly is biggest and he's the boss!

We paid $650. Cdn for Jim's stay in the hospital. I think our insurance will cover it - even tho our whole receipt is in Spanish! Time will tell.

I promised a few guys a picture of the sweet nurse...she's shy too.
