Prep work for Travel

It is just 2 months before we set sail on the Mediterranean Sea.

So far we're looking for very light clothing (and shoes), travel information from various sources, and luggage that will work for us on the sailboat.

Clothing will not be a problem... we have lighter clothes that we use in Mexico.

We make a monthly visit to the thrift stores just in case something cheap shows up that will work.

Because we will be on a boat for six weeks we dont' feel we'll need much. The (hopefully) daily trips to shore will probably be done in shorts and t-shirts and 2 pair should be fine for a long time. We are not out to impress anyone with our style so one outfit should go a long way!

I am looking for very good shoes. I've sort of decided a really good pair of Merrills will be good for hiking on shore. We do want to be able to walk a lot and not end up with blisters - or fallen arches!

I'll check out my clothes this week and see if they're ready to go.

Of course I want to lose more weight before I leave so then I may need a whole new wardrobe - yippee.
