Luggage

We thought we had the perfect luggage for travel but this time it has to be different.

We need a 'container' that we can fold up and put out of the way when we are on the sailboat. Hard edges are not welcome!

I made that a project this a.m. and we did go off to the Salvation Army Thrift Store and Value Village. (if you say vahlu' vilaghe' with an uppity accent people have no idea where the shop is). I think I found the perfect duffle bag. When we opened it up we even found a fanny pack that has two zippered compartments and a place to hold a plastic water bottle. I think it will be perfect for this trip and at $8 I can give it away when we return.

With all this money I'm saving I will surely be able to buy the right pair of Merrill sandals. I've seen some that tolerate getting wet - might be the thing to have.

Oops, eye glasses are also a priority. I've looked for cheap frames in Costco and Walmart, decided cheap is exactly what they are. I will now go to a regular optical shop and pay the piper. At least I can increase our airmiles doing that!

  2. I might do the small backpack instead, I have a camera to pack this trip. Not to worry, no-one will know my name - ha ha.
