To Do

I spent 2 hours on the phone, talking with an Airmiles rep and getting our tickets for the trip to Greece. It was not simple and I guess we were lucky to get seats at all. Apparently their 2 days notice does not apply to summer travel overseas. Our flight leaves Vancouver on July 7 and goes to Amsterdam. We change planes there and continue on to Athens. We arrive at midnight so that will be a bit awkward. Dear friend Dave says he'll just meet us at the dock and then we'll sleep on our sailboat.
Our flight home is a bit more complex. She was unable to get us any return flights except from Amsterdam to Vancouver. We have to arrange our own flight (probably from Istanbul) to Amsterdam and then make the connection to home. It will be fine but not exactly a simple transaction.
We bought travel insurance and cancellation insurance. Another $1000+ on our M/C.
We will get a new Mastercard this week so that means all automatic payments we make will have to be updated on the new valid date. Ah, the details...
So, it's on to the to do list and I have 30 days in which to have all my ducks in a row.
Some things are so tedious, but necessary. Like a wax job. Where do I stop, or do I?
Short haircut - even tho it's still quite short.
I have my spectacles, but obviously they're not that spectacular because no one has mentioned them. Not even a noncommitted "I see you have new glasses". And I worked so hard to get the 'right ones'. Actually, every evening I am in real pain on the left side of my nose and behind my right ear. I have been back to where I bought them for adjustments, and will have to go again, perhaps Monday.
I have sorted my clothes. Could buy another pair of light slacks but most other items are good to go. I will still leave a full closet behind.
Must buy the Merrill sandals soon. I think I know where to get them.
Would like a sun hat that I can put in my suitcase/backpack.
Do I take reading materials? food items? toiletries for 82 days?
Have to see the new movie 'My life in ruins'.
